Tarski is easily customizable, can be localized, and just plain looks good. Also, they have a help page and forum if you need help using or customizing the theme.

Theme Authors: Want Your Theme Widgetized?

Widgets Don't Suck! 

I love widget-read themes. Using either widgets or sidebar modules on a blog and using widget-ready themes makes changing themes but keeping your sidebar customizations easy with no code to mess with. Unfortunately, many of the great themes I feature here aren't widget-ready. So, I'm offering my WordPress hacking skills to convert a theme to be widget-ready.

Get Your Theme Widgetized 

If you are the author of a theme we've featured here already (or want to be featured) and would like your theme to be widget-ready, please use the contact form to let me know. There is no charge for this. I'll take submissions on a first come, first served basis with priority given to themes we've already featured. For new themes, they will need to have the mojo to pass the voodoo that is the acceptance process.

I can't guarantee that I will be able to convert all themes, but I'll give it a shot. I will test the result in as many browsers and platforms as I can and also with both the widget plugin and sidebar modules plugin. All I ask in return is a link to my site on your theme's info page or on your blog if you only have it on the WordPress theme site.

Why it Doesn't Suck:
This theme manages to be fun and bright but still allows for plenty of information without the visuals getting in the way. Seeing this in your browser definitely makes you look twice.

Three columns but easy to read with a nice graphic header that is generic enough to use for any site. Looks professional.

Deep Blue v1.2 WordPress Theme

Because blue is the best color :-) OK, it also does a nice job of using just a few images and icons to make everything easy to read without being annoying.

MistyLook v2 WordPress Theme

MistyLook does a good job of being a low contrast theme that still makes it easy for the reader to pick out the difference in the visual elements.

TypoXP v1.03 WordPress Theme

TypoXP is a three column theme focusing on text with a few icons for a nice layout.

Why it Doesn't Suck:
TypoXP packs a lot of information into three columns but doesn't look busy or detract the focus from the content while making the sidebars easy to navigate.

I came across this theme today from LiewCF. I had seen this theme a few weeks ago and was on the fence about it. Looking at it again, I like it.
